How much computational speed boost occurs for CALL64 and multi processors??

Dear Sir,
It has become all the more important to understand how more number of processors, 64 bit OS effect the Firefly computational speed, say for Hessian and TDDFT etc. calculations?
I have a dual core system with 2 threads and a i3 one with 2 cores and 4 threads.. But dual core one seems to work faster with all same commands used like p2p, httfix etc. How do we decide upon choosing the no. of processors to be used??Regards,
