normally, Firefly scales almost linearly with respect to the number
of cores used in computations.
As to your dual-core and Core i3 systems, are you running Firefly
in parallel on both of them? How much cores are you using on
Core i3 system? What is the OS installed on your systems.
If you are using Windows 7, is the core parking feature disabled?
