Re^7: MPICH2 version always runs in a single processor (Linux 64-bit)

For the Debian/Ubuntu users, the Debian way of doing this is:

$sudo update-alternatives NAME

where NAME in this case would be mpi and mpirun, respectively. Choosing mpirun.mpich2 applies to both mpirun and mpiexec.

Then you are presented the alternatives and you can choose the one that better suits your needs.

Apparently, the default is openmpi.

Alternatively, you can stick to the defaults and use the openmpi version of Firefly. Anyone knows if there are significant performance differences between openmpi and mpich2?
