Me and Alex have just developed the workaround to what we believe
is the bug (or at least the incorrect assumption) in the memory
manager code of the latest Linux kernels. It seems this bug was
introduced while implementing security fix for the Linux errata
described here:
https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2010-0704.html
This bug causes Firefly to die upon receiving signal 7 (SIGBUS).

Everybody who is affected by this problem and interested to test
the updated binaries please contact Alex (note, Alex, not me!) off
the list for the information on how to get the updated executables.
Regards,
Alexei
P.S. LINUX MUST DIE!? :)
