My condolences to Alex's family and the Firefly team

Please allow me to extend my condolences to the family and friends of Alex, as well as to the entire Firefly development team.  I've only learned of his passing just tonight; this was quite a shock.  

I first "met" Alex (virtually, anyway...) on the CCL around 1996 or so, as an early user of his "PC-GAMESS" port to DOS (!).  

I've been a constant user-- and fan-- throughout the history and development of the code ever since.

He was as gracious-- and funny-- as he was brilliant, and will be missed.
