Information regarding FIREFLY8 on Windows7...

Dear Sir, I have installed FIREFLY8 on Windows7 and when running programs I was getting this message that " Operating System doesn't support AVX. Disabling AVX use." So after some googling I found that my Win7 OS was not having service pack 1. After I installed it, I got a good looking message "Operating system supports AVX use." Does AVX use reduce the computation time?
