Firefly version 8.0.0 RC build # 7583 was posted today
on the beta-test pages and can be found here

This build is supposed to be identical to the long-awaited final public
release of Firefly v. 8.0.0, which is to be released as soon as some
additions and changes to the documentation will be completed.
This build also solves the "outdated version" problem discussed in this thread.
