To avoid any longer confusion, I would suggest both Firefly developers and users also to adopt the terms kibibyte (kiB) = 2^10, mebibyte (MiB) = 2^20 and gibibyte (GiB) = 2^30 bytes, respectively, and so on, according to the authoritative IEC definition (1998).
