MacMolPlt v7.7 (Win) will not display FF v8.2.0 MOs (*.OUT files)

Since the Search function page on this site is for some reason empty on my system, I'm posting a request for suggestions on what could have gone wrong.  

Can someone confirm that the subject-line version of MacMolPlt for Windows (v7.7) works fine with the FF v.6.2.0 files?  MacMolPlt will show some higher-energy occupied MO and will stay stuck there; no change is possible.

What can cause this specific problem?

EDIT: Per OP's suggestion, I found a recent (Sep. 2016) version of Molden (a compiled native Windows version) that works beautifully.  It can be found at ftp://ftp.cmbi.ru.nl/pub/molgraph/molden/bin/Windows/
